Tree Machine Tool Company was founded in Racine, Wisconsin, in 1926 as Tree Tool & Die Works, by Charles Tree.

As a result of Tree's work with small, general-purpose milling machines, he amassed 17 patents for improving the function and operation of such machines.

In 1950, Tree introduced its first milling machine. It quickly earned a reputation as an exceptionally rigid, accurate machine, with features tool makers wanted, but couldn't find elsewhere.

In 1978, Tree introduced its first CNC product - the Journeyman® 200, 2-axis knee mill. This machine changed the way small shops looked at CNC because it programmed itself from easily entered part descriptions.

Today, Tree CNC knee mills are known worldwide for outstanding rigidity, durability and performance, at prices the average small shop owner can afford.

In recent years, Tree has expanded its product line with new vertical machining centers and turning centers that offer maximum power, speed and rigidity at prices the average job shop can afford.

With more than 15,000 machines sold worldwide, you can count on Tree for solid machine tool value.
