SoMat Corporation
The latest product from SoMat is the eDAQ, a rugged, modular data acquisition unit. It can collect data directly from a growing list of vehicle network interfaces. Analog, digital and strain data can also be collected from remote sensors. Additional layers and an optional high level board can be installed to increase data collecting capabilities. All eDAQs have a built-in PCMCIA slot to accommodate Type II or Type III cards of varying densities. After collecting data, simply remove the memory card to read it using a PC or laptop.
Additional products include the 2100 and 2500 field computer systems, as well as EASE and DataXplorer software packages to analyze data collected during testing.
SoMat has 40 employees at their main office in Urbana, IL. Their products are marketed through a network of sales reps and distributors in America, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia. They also have customer support and marketing offices in Livonia, Michigan and in Luton, England.
