National Instruments SCXI signal conditioning expands the channel count and the I/O capabilities of data acquisition (DAQ) systems as well as the types of measurements that can be made with one integrated system. SCXI offers isolation, calibration, and connectivity to ensure the overall measurement accuracy of data acquisition system. The types of I/O measurements SCXI delivers include:

• Digital I/O
• Switching
• Frequency

An SCXI system consists of multichannel signal conditioning modules installed in one or more rugged chassis. An SCXI system can serve as a front-end signal conditioning system for DAQ boards and digital multimeters or as a complete, self-contained DAQ system that connects to a PC by incorporating a combination SCXI and PXI™/CompactPCI chassis or via parallel port or serial port interfaces.
