PLU 126 Positive Displacement Volumetric Flowmeter

The PLU 126 is a unique measuring instrument. It has a high accuracy, fast response, and a wide range ability to measure high and very low flow rates. The PLU 126 surpasses other positive displacement flowmeters because it eliminates pressure drop across the meter. As a result, internal leakage causing errors does not exist. The total fuel system is unaffected by the meter's presence. This feature is gaining importance due to advent of returnless fuel systems.
The PLU 126 has an operating range of more than 200:1. It is compact, light weight and requires low voltage DC power. These features make the meter ideal for such applications as vehicular engine testing. The fast response allows it to measure flow rates under rapidly changing transient conditions, such as day-to-day traffic situations. The stability of the calibration relates to the stability of the mechanics.
The durability of the mechanical components have been proven for many years by our customers use under extreme conditions, such as component and vehicular engine testing. The PLU 126 cannot be plugged up should a problem occur while operating, unlike other positive displacement flowmeters. If the flowmeter capacity is exceeded or a system failure occurs, the sensing piston opens a safety bypass port for the fuel to pass unrestricted. Either used as a stand-alone unit or integrated into a test system, the accuracy and speed of the PLU 126 promotes high quality and cost savings for the customer.
