Mitsubishi Cable America, Inc. is a wholly owed subsidiary of Mitsubishi Cable Industries, Ltd. and was originally established in 1982 under the name of Diaguide, Inc., changed its name in April, 1988.

Mitsubishi Cable Industries has been one of the major suppliers of general electric wires and cables over the last century in Japan and is also a leading supplier of sophisticated products to the ever-changing telecommunication industry. Its products include industrial scopes, optical fibers, EDFA, lithium Ion battery, and LAN related products. It also manufactures automotive components, such as connectors, terminals, and gaskets, including seals for industrial and aviation use.

The company primarily imports and distributes industrial optical fiber scopes, cables, and related accessories, and auto parts manufactured by Mitsubishi Cable Industries. The company also acts as a purchasing agent for LAN equipment for the parent and provides them with market research.
