Laminated glass consists of two layers of glass bonded together by a tough, pliable and invisible layer of polyvinylbutyral (PVB). This type of glass improves the safety of vehicles in three important ways:

Objects that strike the glass from outside will be less likely to enter the cabin and injure the occupants because the glass provides a barrier to outside intrusion.

    1. Glass breakage is usually confined to the location of the imapact, which preserves visibility in potentially life-threatening situations.

    2. Glass shards in the area of impact tend to remain adhered to the PVB interlayer, further protecting the passengers from harm.

    3. Made of highly weather-resistant materials, LAMISAFE brand products are unaffected by harmful ultraviolet rays and severe temperature conditions. This insures clear visibility even after many years of use.
