Laboratory Weather Testing System
Advancements to Atlas Material Testinginclude a 12,000 watt cooled xenon arc lamp. With a 2 sun irradiance level, a broad range of xenon light filters and a wide operating range of chamber and black panel temperatures, Atlas Material Testingprovides control and flexibility of testing parameters. The lamp itself is longer than 6,500 watt lamps, ensuring an even, more uniform exposure of samples regardless of their position on the sample rack. The extended length also reduces watt density load.
Design innovations in the airflow, irradiance and control systems have reduced variability in critical test parameters.
Proportional air heater and the SmartDamper system minimize temperature and humidity variability while compensating for changes in ambient laboratory conditions. The VibraSonic Humidification System provides more responsive, real-time control over a wider range of operating conditions than is possible with a discrete on/off system. The specimen rack is a stainless steel 3-tier rack and can hold up to 11 sample holders. The rack is mounted to the test chamber ceiling and the xenon lamp is mounted in the chamber floor. This design allows physical separation of sensitive control electronics from the xenon lamp power devices.
