The Engine Knock Detector Start-Up Kit is designed for real-time detection and storage of engine knock audio waveforms. The kit, made up of LabVIEW graphical programming and data acquisition and signal conditioning hardware from National Instruments, uses wavelet transforms to detect a wide variety of automotive engine knock noises that can be stored directly to the hard drive of a portable, benchtop, or rack-mounted computer. The LabVIEW-based engine knock example application program has an open source code architecture and is FREE to download from ni.com/automotive/autovi_exchange.htm
