Tyco Electronics Corporation announces a new, coated version of its 90V radial-leaded PolySwitch® resettable fuses – the BBR550 and BBR750 devices. These devices facilitate the provisioning of cable telephony and protect against damaging power faults to cable power passing tap ports and set-top boxes. The BBR550 and BBR750 are available with rated hold currents of 550Ma and 750 Ma, respectively. The devices are designed to help limit current in the event of power cross faults on the coaxial cable that might, for example, be generated by phase lags in a multi-phase distribution system.
The BBR550 and BBR750 devices are available in straight-lead or kinked-lead configurations, and are supplied in tape and reel packaging for compatibility with high volume assembly.
