Celebrity Customizers And Artists To Appear In PPG Booth At SEMA

Strongsville, OH - Some of the nation's foremost automotive artists and custom bike builders will make appearances in the PPG booth, which will be located in Hot Rod Alley, # 23091. The SEMA show takes place October 30 through November 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Famed motorcycle customizers Arlen Ness and Dave Perewitz, renowned hot rod artist Darrell Mayabb, and chief designer for Hot Wheels, a Mattel, Inc. brand, Larry Wood, will all sign autographs during the show.
Arlen Ness is one of the world's foremost motorcycle customizers. Since his first creation took top prize at his first custom show in 1967, his one-of-a-kind bikes and innovative style have won him dozens of awards and recognition around the globe. Known as the "Godfather of Choppers," he will be at the PPG booth on Tuesday, October 30 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. and 3-4 p.m., and on Wednesday, October 31 from 12-1 p.m. and 3-4 p.m.
Darrell Mayabb is recognized as one of the nation's top illustrators of hot rod art. His work has been featured in almost every hot rod and street rod magazine on the market. In 2006, he was inducted into the National Rod and Custom Car Hall of Fame. He will be signing copies of the new 2008 PPG Calendar, featuring his original art work, on Wednesday, October 31, from 2-3 p.m., and on Thursday, November 1 from 2-3 p.m.
Dave Perewitz is known for building one-of-a-kind, hand-built choppers that are as comfortable and reliable as they are beautiful. Cycle magazines all over the world, as well as The Discovery Channel, Speed Channel and others, have hailed him as a master of art in motion. He will be in the PPG booth on Tuesday and Thursday, October 30 & November 1, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. and 3-4 p.m., and on Wednesday, October 31 from 12-1 p.m. and 3-4 p.m.
Larry Wood has been designing Hot Wheels cars for over 35 years and is affectionately known as "Mr. Hot Wheels" in collector circles because of his innovation and imagination. Wood designed the fabulous paint scheme for the PPG Show Truck, executed in spectacular fashion with colors from the Vibrance Collection brand of PPG finishes. He will be signing limited edition Hot Wheels die cast toy cars at the PPG booth Wednesday, October 31, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
