VP44
The VP44 is an electronically controlled radial piston distributor pump developed for cars, light trucks and light-duty commercial vehicles. On a 4-cylinder direct-injection engine, the VP44 can increase torque by 40% compared to a traditional slide controlled axial piston pump.
Common Rail System\
The Common Rail diesel fuel injection system is designed to improve fuel economy, reduce noise and help engine manufacturers attain future mandates on engine emissions. Pressure is produced independent of engine speed and injection quantity, allowing optimal injection pressure up to 1,400 bar to be available throughout the range of engine operation.
Unit Injector System and Unit Pump system
The Unit Injector System (UIS) and Unit Pump System (UPS) guarantee the high level of atomization essential for attaining low emissions, low fuel consumption and high specific power output. The two systems control pressure-buildup and injection functions by utilizing a high-speed solenoid valve to control fuel metering and initial injection. In the UIS, the injection nozzle and solenoid valve consist of a single compact unit, while in the UPS, the nozzle is separated form the pump by a short injection pipe. The compact designs of both systems create the high injection-nozzle pressures which reach up to 1,800 bar in the UIS and 2,00 bar in the UPS.
