Donnelly also produces complete outside mirrors that combine the mirror glass with automatic or manual adjusting mechanisms, wiring harnesses and other hardware. The components are fitted into an injection-molded housing that is colored to exactly match the vehicle. These assemblies can also include added features such as turn indicators or built-in lights for night-time illumination of the ground around the vehicle when it is parked. Donnelly ships its outside mirrors to customers as complete, ready-to-install units.

In recent years, Donnelly has emerged as a leading supplier of interior and exterior electrochromic mirrors that dim automatically to eliminate unwanted headlight glare from following vehicles.
