Anti-Pinch Power Window Switch/Control System
Omron's anti-pinch control system combines an electronic control unit and sensing methods to automatically stop and reverse the upward movement of a power window when it comes in contact with an obstruction such as a passenger's arm. This system prevents mis-detection caused by vibrations from a rough driving surface, environmental changes such as temperature, voltage, rain, snow, ice, and debris, and variations of vehicle door assemblies.
The anti-pinch system's control unit is often built into the power window switch housing, providing cost savings as well as weight and space savings. The system can be tailored to particular applications and customer requirements.
