4-Inch Web-Based Network Ready Printer

Printronixannounces the completion of its ThermaLine 5000 (T5000) bar code printer family, with the release of the 4-inch T5204 and T5304. The newly released printers feature web-based networking via PrintNet Plus, as well as integrated Online Data Validation (ODV).

When combined with PrintNet Plus networking, ODV provides bar code quality control while largely eliminating user intervention in the process. It includes the ability to automatically overstrike sub-standard bar codes, rendering them unusable. The automatic re-print feature ensures that the customer's system will not be halted by transitory printer problems. All ODV-related activity is instantly visible over the network, and administrator reports are created in real time.

The T5000 family is ERP-ready, with a full suite of integration solutions available. Printronixpioneered direct SAPR/3 integration, which allows users to bypass middleware solutions and provide the interface between host systems and label generation.

The printer family features PSA2, the common system architecture that allows for networking of laser, line matrix, and thermal printers. Also, PSA2 enables the user to send laser and line matrix print jobs through T5000 thermal printers, in a process called Auto-Label Mapping. The result is a completely flexible output solution, which combines maximum management control with maximum efficiency of operation.

The family of thermal printers is available in 6in., 8in., and now 4in. widths.
