7ns Comparator Inputs Sense Ground

Linear Technology introduces the LT1394 comparator that operates on 6mA from a single 5V supply, and delivers 7ns response with an input range that extends from ground to +3.5V. It is stable in its linear region and features low propagation delay, low quiescent current, and the ability to accept low voltage input signals without amplification or level shifting.

The LT1394 is stable with slow input signals. It can operate on either ±5V supplies or a single 5V supply requiring only 6mA; in both cases, its input range extends from the bottom supply to +3.5V. The LT1394 is pin-compatible with the industry standard LT1016, and includes complementary TTL outputs, and output latch capability.

Applications include telecommunications equipment, notebook and desktop computers, computer peripherals, network systems, cellular phones, industrial process control systems, factory automation, automotive systems, and satellites.
