About Us

In 1970, LDJ Electronics Incorporated had become a world leading manufacturer of measuring and control equipment for the magnetic materials industry.

In 1982, a need was recognized among manufacturing firms for factory automation equipment. LDJ saw this as a logical extension of its expertise in process control and data acquisition and formed the Computer Division.

LDJ recognized its customers' needs and also realized the benefits of a single, integrated system for all data processing requirements. Product development direction focused on the creation of a comprehensive, completely integrated package, tying EDI to scheduling and financial applications. These applications were developed using Thoroughbred's IDOL Database and Business BASIC.

As the Computer Division continued to pursue the software needs of repetitive manufacturers, their goals became quite divergent from those of the Instrumentation Division. In 1991, Jeff Siciliano, then Division Manager, and Michael See, then Systems Manager, acquired the Computer Division of LDJ Incorporated, and assumed the responsibilities of President and Vice-President, respectively. In keeping with their development focus of integrated solutions for repetitive manufacturers, the company was renamed to Advanced Integrated Manufacturing Computer Solutions, Inc., most commonly known as AIM Computer Solutions, Inc., in 1992.

Also in 1992, the development language and database advanced to a Fourth Generation Language. At that time, AIM transitioned over to Thoroughbred's IDOL IV Database and Script IV Language. Along with this came the ability to have and maintain on-line help, lookups into other files and stronger reporting capabilities.

As technology changed and more people were working in a Windows environment, the need for a Graphical User Interface (GUI) based manufacturing solution grew. AIM Vision™ incorporates all the user friendliness that comes with a Windows-based package, with the power of Progress™. Progress software allows us to design using open technology. this open technology allows you, the customer, the flexibility of interfacing with other systems if necessary. This technology also allows us to offer you a solution that is year 2000 compliant.
