With a more than 40 year track-record of supplying critical jet engine sealing solutions, our line of mission critical E-Seals provide the highest integrity sealing available on the market today. Reinforcing our commitment to the Jet Engine Industry while spearheading E-Seal technology, Advanced Products' R&D is currently developing new E-Seal concepts capable of resisting stress-relaxation at temperatures considerably higher than the 1250-1330 °F limit. This work is supported by sophisticated non-linear FEA with powerful stress fatigue and stress-relaxation predictive capabilities. Additionally, an Advanced Products' E-Seal boasts features like optimized one piece construction, highly compliant - very low load, radiused footprint area that protects mating surfaces, fully elastic working envelope for consistent performance over many compression/extension cycles. E-Seals are available in a wide variety of sizes and high strength alloys. Advanced also offers AS1895 E-Seal for aircraft rigid clamps.

E-Seal Design Choices
Cavity Dimensions, Temperatures, Displacements Pressures, Available Load, Leakage Rate will all have an influence as to how you choose a particular E-Seal design for your application.

E-Seal Characteristics
Low Load Low Material Stress Level Low Contact Stress (coining) High Resilience Low Stress Relaxation

Applications For E-Seals
High Temperatures Low to Moderate Pressures High Flange Movements Low Permissible Seating Load Leakage Rates Acceptable by Customer Large Diameters/Axial Growth

E-Seal Terminology
Depth of Convolution Primary Seal Contact Point Secondary Seal Contact Point (if applicable) Radius of Heel and Convolutes

Common E-Seal Materials
