InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is submitting this idea, THE PORTER SYSTEM, to companies for their review.

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) - When parallel parking is the only option, it may be difficult to judge exactly where the curb is as the driver tries to angle the car into the spot. However, an inventor from Fontana, Calif., has found a way to take the guesswork out of parallel parking.

He developed THE PORTER SYSTEM to provide a quick and easy way to parallel park a car. As such, it saves the time and effort normally required to maneuver back and forth to fit into the space. Therefore, it enables the car to fit into any space measuring the same length as that of the vehicle. Another advantage is that it can be easily integrated with the electrical and mechanical makeup of any vehicle. Besides that, it reduces the potential for bumping another vehicle and causing damage to one or both cars. It also eliminates the frustration of having to manually parallel park. In addition, it is safe, convenient, reliable, effective and easy to operate.

The inventor’s personal observations inspired the idea. “Although parallel parking situations are common, many drivers dread the tricky maneuvering required to position the car in the space. I wanted to replace this tedious manual process with an automated alternative,” he said.

The original design was submitted to the Orange County office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
