NEW QUALITY AUDIT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE SUPPORTS ISO/TS 16949, PROVIDES WEB REPORTING FEATURES, AUTOMATIC EMAIL ALERTS, GRAPHS NON CONFORMANCES AND LINKS WITH PALM PDAs
Royal Oak, Mich., June 14, 2000 – Integral Solutions Inc. (ISI), a leading provider of advanced product quality planning software, announces the June 2000 release of APACT 2000(Audit Planning and Control Tool). APACT 2000electronically coordinates quality assessments by tracking and managing audits, non-conformances, corrective actions and procedures saving internal auditors, engineers, supervisors and QS/ISO coordinators time and resources by providing the means to communicate, coordinate and assess quality processes through use of the latest in software technologies. Anyone involved in the auditing process will benefit from the dedicated assessment package including original equipment manufacturers (OEM's), suppliers and quality system registrars to manage, schedule and track quality audits.
APACT 2000 features pre-entered questions from the leading quality assessment manuals from several industries: Quality System Assessments (QSA) for QS 9000 (QSA AEC-A100 and QSA TE), the Quality System Development Checklist (QSDC). The software also supports the latest in ISO audit types including: Auditing and Procedures for ISO-9000, ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 2000. Other assessment types included in the software are: AS 9000 (aerospace), Ford PTO Heat Treat and Ford Quality. Additionally, the software offers the flexibility to modify and add audit elements and questions for customized self-assessments.
APACT 2000 can be linked to any Palm III or higher PDA, providing auditors electronic means of capturing audit data — creating a paperless auditing system. Users upload (synchronize) audit questions and/or procedures into the handheld computer, input results, then synchronize the data back into their desktop PC. This eliminates data re-entry errors and the need to carry excessive paperwork during an audit.
APACT 2000 assists in the communication of audit/quality compliance processes by electronically notifying users of auditing schedules, non-conformances, corrective action assignments and completion verifications. The software can be linked to any MAPI compliant email software such as Microsoft Outlook, Eudora and Lotus CC:Mail, among others. It allows users to share information with other departments by publishing reports to an Internet/intranet site. Additionally, APACT 2000 automatically translates notifications and alerts into the default language of the user's system. Supported languages are: English, Spanish, Portuguese and German.
"Communication is a critical component of managing quality audits," said Dane Barrager, Integral Solutions CEO. "With APACT 2000, information is readily available to those who need it via Internet and intranet technologies. Because APACT 2000 is based on best audit practices and employs the latest quality assessment questions, such as ISO/TS 16949, product quality is ultimately improved – saving users time and money by reducing scrap, rework and warranty issues."
APACT 2000 can be used independently as an audit management tool or interactively with ISI'sMPACT (Manufacturing Planning and Control Tool) and/or DPACT (Design Planning and Control Tool) advanced product quality planning software, assuring data integrity and consistency -- Questions and problem solving are entered at the process level of MPACT, DPACT and APACT 2000, helping determine corrective actions. Additionally, since information can be shared between the relational databases, data only needs to be entered once, maximizing the time and resource savings benefits of the products.
