Many vehicle systems and components experience complex in-service loading conditions making it difficult for an analyst to accurately predict durability performance or for a test engineer to design an equivalent block cycle or constant amplitude structural durability test
Many vehicle systems and components experience complex in-service loading conditions making it difficult for an analyst to accurately predict durability performance or for a test engineer to design an equivalent block cycle or constant amplitude structural durability test. This is especially true for complex systems and components that exhibit nonlinear behavior.
Also, expensive and time consuming Proving Ground Tests are not the quickest and most cost effective means to assess durability performance. In these cases, a component or system simulation test may be most appropriate.
The Defiance Staff has been performing simulations for over a decade. This experience, combined with a dedicated Structural Simulation Lab, its' state of the art hardware and MTS RPCIII software assures proper test design and execution.
