Product/Service
Driven by constantly rising consumer demands, manufacturers are striving to increase the value of their products to meet world-class standards. One way to accomplish this is to make certain that the surfaces and materials customers see and feel look good throughout the product's lifetime.
Nothing can turn off a consumer faster than a
body panel that rusts through or an instrument panel that loses its color after only a few years.
To help customers evaluate lifecycle durability, ACT offers five Xenon chambers that compress weathering effects on interior and exterior parts. These state-of-the-art chambers can cycle panels, upholstery material, and a variety of similar components through numerous seasonal extremes so engineers can determine how these parts stand up to years of exposure.
QUV chambers simulate the harsh glare of the sun's rays to test for color fastness, material drying, and other concerns.
Both the Xenon and QUV chambers can be programmed to collect data that can be extrapolated for lifetime predictability. This is another example of ACT Laboratories' commitment to helping customers compress product development lead times and reduce costs.
